The Gallatin Valley YMCA is now hiring for YOUTH SPORTS REFEREE position This position (Youth Sports Referee) will be under the direction of the Sports & Recreation Coordinator, and will be responsible for officiating various sporting events. Position Type: Part-time Salary Range: DOE Scheduled Hours: Evenings and Saturday Core Job Responsibility: The Youth Sports Referee is expected to cooperate with coaches and other officials to develop a positive self-image in the players and to provide a good role model for all YMCA participants. Ensure a safe program operation for all participants and spectators. The Youth Sports Referee will be required to: Officiate Sports according to YMCA rules. Provide a safe and clean environment for children. Report to the Sports Director on all incidents of significance. Make fair and consistent calls. Be respectful and professional to participants and fellow staff. Additional assigned tasks Who Should Apply: You should apply for this position if you are interested in becoming a valued and hardworking member of the YMCA team. If you have an affinity for sports such as basketball or football. If you enjoy working with children. An ideal candidate will have experience with coaching and or refereeing youth sports teams, leagues, or tournaments. Experience in organized sports is required. Selected candidates must pass a YMCA background check and are required to obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
